I forgot how awesome this song was. Wale and J. Cole were so ill and Melanie Fiona gives a great hook with Wale's funny attempt at singing.

Rick Ross - Teflon Don

Teflon Don is a very good album by Rick Ross. He is improving with every CD he makes. The production is amazing from producers like J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, No I.D., and the man behind BMF Lex Luger. The lyrics are good from Ross on the only solo track I'm Not a Star, Maybach Music III, and Live Fast, Die Young. The guest appearances, which is the main flaw along with the short album, are good especially T.I. and Jadakiss, Cee-Lo, and Raphael Saadiq on Maybach Music III, Tears of Joy, and All the Money in the World respectively. The album gets a 9 out of 10. My favorite tracks are I'm Not a Star, Free Mason, Tears of Joy, Maybach Music III, and B.M.F. (not lyrically).

One of my favorite tracks off the album. The second verse is one of my favorite verses of the year and Busta produces a passionate chorus.

Fat Joe - The Darkside Vol. 1

The Darkside is a great album by Fat Joe. He returns to hardbody hip hop and stopped looking for singles. The production on the album is stellar from legends like DJ Premier and current hitmakers like Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, and Streetrunner. The lyrics are gritty and inspired on songs like At Last Supremacy, How Did We Get Here, and I Am Crack. The guest appearances are mainly on chorus work (which I loved about it) so there are no favorite guests on the album for me. This album gets a 10 out 10. My favorite tracks are I Am Crack, If It Ain't About Money, How Did We Get Here, I'm Gone, and At Last Supermacy.

Actually he didn't write it AFTER his daughter dies, but while she was alive and he realised how precious his time with his daughters was. It's just extra poignant because of what later happened to his daughter Maria.
